Every stay at Paradise includes a luxurious 1:00 PM self check-in and a relaxed 12:00 PM checkout, giving you more time to settle in, enjoy the water, and savor your final morning. Unlike many vacation rentals with same-day turnovers, we intentionally space reservations—leaving approximately 24 hours between guests. This allows our housekeeping team the time to meticulously clean, thoughtfully restock, inspect amenities, and ensure Paradise is beautifully prepared for your arrival. It’s one of the many ways we prioritize cleanliness, quality, and an exceptional guest experience. Before arrival, you’ll receive detailed check-in instructions and personalized entry codes for your group. For everyone’s security, please keep your door codes within your registered guests. Paradise features two independent comfort systems designed for New Hampshire’s changing seasons. 🔥 Radiant Floor Heat (September to May) Paradise is heated by an in-floor radiant heating system that provides quiet, gentle, and consistent warmth throughout. Unlike forced-air heat, radiant systems warm gradually, so frequent thermostat adjustments won’t heat Paradise quicker. For the most comfortable experience, we recommend setting the temperature where you’d like it and allowing the system to do the work. If you’d prefer a cooler temperature, simply lower the thermostat to your desired setting rather than turning the heat off. Leaving the heating system on at all times helps protect Paradise’s plumbing and in-floor pipes during New Hampshire’s colder months while ensuring you remains comfortable throughout your stay. To keep Paradise comfortable on cooler days: • Keep exterior doors and windows closed whenever possible. • Keeping the south-facing curtains open during the day increasing solar heat gain and keep Paradise warmer. ❄️ Mini-Split Air Conditioning (June 21st to September) Paradise is cooled by high-efficiency multi-zone mini-split systems. For the best comfort, please keep exterior doors and windows closed while the A/C is operating. Set each unit to COOL with the fan on AUTO. Because our multi-zone system is professionally programmed for consistent comfort, AUTO mode is disabled and the selected temperature will not change how the system operates. Instead, the units automatically cycle on and off as needed to maintain a comfortable indoor temperature of approximately 68–72°F. To keep Paradise comfortable on warmer days: • Keep exterior doors and windows closed whenever possible. • Keeping the south-facing curtains closed during the hottest part of the day helps reduce solar heat gain and keeps Paradise cooler. These simple steps help maintain a comfortable indoor temperature while reducing unnecessary strain on the equipment. ⸻ ♨️ What should I know about the HOT TUB? The waterfront hot tub is professionally cleaned, refilled, and balanced before every arrival. To keep the water clean and enjoyable throughout your stay, we simply ask that you: • Rinse off sand before entering. • Close and latch the cover after each use. • Keep food and glass out of the hot tub. • Leave the power on at all times. • Keep the water level above the intake. • Follow all posted rules. Each guest is provided with two blue towels for use at the hot tub and beach. To help keep Paradise’s spa-inspired bathrooms fresh and pristine, please reserve our white towels for indoor bathroom use only. ——— 🌊 Is PEQUAWKET POND a pond or lake? Despite its name, Pequawket Pond is actually a lake—a peaceful 120-acre natural lake nestled just minutes from Conway Village. While many visitors flock to larger, busier lakes, Pequawket remains one of the Mount Washington Valley’s best-kept secrets, offering a quieter, more relaxed experience surrounded by mountain scenery. Pequawket is popular for kayaking, paddleboarding, canoeing, fishing, and wildlife watching. To help preserve its peaceful character, motorboats are limited to 10 horsepower, and Jet Skis and other personal watercraft are not permitted. Whether you’re hoping to reel in a largemouth bass, spot a loon gliding across the water, or simply enjoy a calm sunset paddle, Pequawket Pond offers a slower pace that’s becoming increasingly rare. For your convenience, the kayaks and canoe are stored on the waterfront racks, paddleboards and pumps are located in the covered storage area above the trash enclosure, paddles are secured in the fence-mounted paddle holders, and life vests hang on the drying line beneath the covered shed. Simple labels throughout the storage areas make everything easy to find and return. After each use, please return all equipment to its designated storage location so it’s clean, organized, and ready for your next adventure—or the next guest’s. Because the waterfront is not fenced, children should always wear a properly fitted life vest and remain under the direct supervision of a responsible adult whenever they are near or in the water. We provide five children’s life vests (approximately 30–50 lbs) and twelve adult life vests. Guest Access
During your stay, Paradise is exclusively yours to enjoy. You’ll have private access to our entire home, including all indoor and outdoor living spaces, the waterfront, hot tub, game room, private beach, decks, fire pit areas, and our complimentary kayaks, paddleboards, canoe, and life jackets. The detached shed is also available for storing and accessing outdoor equipment during your stay. A few owner’s closets and utility areas remain locked for housekeeping and maintenance supplies, but you’ll have access to everything needed to enjoy Paradise comfortably. Parking is available for up to eight vehicles (six in winter) in the private driveway. To help protect the lawn and comply with local regulations, please park only in the driveway and avoid parking on the grass or street, particularly during the winter months. We have plenty of off street parking—room for eight cars (six in the winter). There is a reliable taxi service in the Valley and one limousine service: You Got Taxis and Sutton Luxury Limousine. We provide their contact information in our welcome book. The Mount Washington Valley also has Uber and Lyft but these drivers are very busy so book early! Lastly, Concord Coach Lines runs from Boston, MA to Conway, NH daily—the bus stop is within walking distance of our home!
